Computer-controlled anaesthesia (Calaject)

A system for painless, computer-controlled anaesthesia. By selecting the right anaesthetic-delivery programme, it is possible to minimise the pain caused by the anaesthetic distending the tissues. The system is preferred by children and people who are sensitive to pain. The devices are also used during ENT (laryngological) treatment.

Endodontic (root canal) treatment

    • A key factor determining the success of root canal treatment is the use of modern equipment. The X-Smart Plus endomotor and the Endo Master enable mechanical preparation of the root canals and allow exceptionally thorough cleaning of the infected canals.
    • An electronic apex locator (endometer) determines the length of the canal, which improves the precision of the procedure.
    • B&L, so-called “liquid gutta-percha” — a filling system that ensures a durable, hermetic seal of the root canal thanks to plasticised, warm, liquid gutta-percha that adapts precisely to the irregular shape of the canals.

Imaging equipment

  • X-ray — digital radiovisiography: a system for imaging the tooth tissues using a reduced radiation dose (compared with a standard X-ray machine); it enables diagnostics and monitoring of treatment outcomes. The digital format of the images makes them easy to store and to hand over to the patient on a CD or USB stick, or to send electronically.
  • Intraoral camera — lets the patient observe the oral cavity before, after and during the procedure on a monitor mounted on the dental unit. It makes cooperation considerably easier, especially with children.

Depotphoresis

A device used in repeat root canal treatment of poorly healing periapical lesions. The device generates an electrical potential that drives a bactericidal agent into the hard-to-reach parts of the root canals that are invisible to the naked eye.

Electrosurgical knife with coagulator

Enables precise correction (excision) of overgrown tissues, cutting of the frenula of the lips and tongue (frenectomy), reshaping of the gums (gingivoplasty) when the eruption of wisdom teeth is impeded, and removal of lesions on the mucous membranes. Using the device makes the procedure bloodless and shortens the healing time.

Pantomograph (panoramic X-ray)

Enables full diagnostics of the craniofacial region — indispensable when planning prosthetic, implant or orthodontic treatment. The image obtained during the examination allows assessment of all the teeth, the maxillary sinuses and elements of the temporomandibular joint. It is also a method for diagnosing impacted teeth, incompletely removed roots, as well as cysts and neoplastic lesions.

Sterilisation

  • Autoclave — used to sterilise dental instruments and equipment. The steam generated inside the device, under a pressure of 2 atmospheres and a temperature of 136 °C, destroys all microorganisms and ensures full microbiological safety.
  • Ultrasonic cleaner — a device used to clean instruments; it uses high-frequency ultrasonic waves to break down stubborn deposits and, combined with the sterilisation process, ensures 100% biological cleanliness of the instruments used.

Biostimulation laser

The laser beams have anti-inflammatory, anti-oedema and tissue-regeneration-stimulating effects, achieved by increasing the production of antibodies. It activates the immune system. It is used mainly in the treatment of the symptoms of trismus (lockjaw), post-extraction pain, poorly healing wounds, herpes labialis (cold sores), aphthous ulcers, neuralgia, and sinus inflammation.
